I'm told there is nothing typical about the method I use to deliver God’s Word. Through the medium of short stories taken from true testimonies, Biblical events, or my own perhaps over active yet vivid imagination, I weave a plot with which I intend to grip the hearts of my readers and listeners. These stories are translated into French, scripted, recorded—acted out by professionals and enhanced using music and appropriate sound effects—and broadcast on the radio. Publishing these stories in book form and selling them to people like you provides funds for producing more radio programs! See the Books page for the series called An Apple of Gold A Day.
I was born in Kansas City, Missouri and lived my early years in Prairie Village, Kansas. I, like most other youth back then, rode my bicycle to school. Believe me, it was up hill both ways. My love for writing developed as I began journaling at around the age of eight. At 12 I noted in my diary that I sent manuscripts to Reader’s Digest. To this day I wonder what on earth they might have been.
My teenage triumphs and tragedies were spent in Edina, Minnesota, as I graduated from high school there. I returned to Missouri to attend and graduate from Lindenwood College for Women in St. Charles. The memories from those days were bittersweet. Even though I was a member of the Poetry Society (by invitation only) and Literary Editor of the yearbook, my parents convinced me I wasn't intelligent enough to be a writer. Sadly, I quit. I buried my talent.
In 1980 I experienced the new birth of Jesus and the baptism of the Holy Spirit that turned me and my life upside down. The Lord told me to write for Him, so I returned to school to brush up on techniques. I continued my education by attending Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Satisfying my heart for prayer, I volunteered at Oral Robert’s City of Faith Hospital (in Tulsa) as a prayer partner with the patients. After the two best years of my life, I graduated from Rhema in 1987.
Obeying the leading of the Holy Spirit, I moved to France in 1988. By divine appointment I worked with a church in Montauban, then planted a church in Tours, and published two teaching books in French. After three years I returned to the U.S. in an attempt to resolve my then husband's homosexuality problem. (See Books - Sleeping With Demons) However, over the next seven years I made fourteen short-term mission trips back to France. As God unfolded His plan for me in ministry, I returned to live in France, unmarried, in 1998. Currently I reside in the south in the city of Montpellier where I work as a Radio Evangelist, combining writing and ministry for the Kingdom of God.
In addition, I play hostess and tour guide to many who come to pray for the nation of France. I have developed “Prayer Journeys”, which I facilitate twice a year. As many will agree, prayer is the key to revival. France’s history of three major moves of the Holy Ghost, which were squelched by the enemy, has left a pallor over the nation. It is my desire to see this veil torn apart by the Holy Spirit, once again, to make room for the next move of God in the nation of France.
