June 2014 Intimacy Speaks
I stand in awe of the structure with which God built the universe. All things are made with atoms. It’s such a simple thing and yet so complex no one can fully understand it or duplicate it. An atom has a nucleus, a proton, an electron and a quark, among other things. Smaller than the other three elements, the quark was discovered about 20 years ago and identified as a factor of sound. The scientists were puzzled by the need of sound in an atom, but a Christian can plainly understand its presence. God spoke and the universe obeyed. At the sound of God’s voice every atom scurried to its assignment and they will keep performing their duties until God speaks again.
What does that signify for us, His children? He tells us to rule and reign like He does which means in like manner we speak and our universe - our bodies, our souls, our spirits and our circumstances - will comply. We must speak in faith without wavering and in line with His Word, not in accord with the lies of the devil.
The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD is over many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars, yes, the LORD splinters the cedars of Lebanon. He makes them also skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire. The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the LORD makes the deer give birth and strips the forests bare; and in His temple everyone says, "Glory!" (Psalms 29:3-9 NKJV).
We speak from our new spirit being which contains the Kingdom of God and in which God the Father, Jesus our Lord and the Holy Spirit our guide, have come to live. We speak as an oracle of God. As His Ambassador, we speak for Him. What we say comes to pass. In this dispensation God has hope in us to use this privilege properly in order to wield the grace of God to make His will be done in and through our earthen bodies. He created us to be more than we can be in our natural state; we must use His supernatural means: our words. That’s one of the reasons I love Him: He overwhelms me!
