AN APPLE OF GOLD A DAY
So far there are three volumes of apples. The idea of apples is taken from the Scripture, “A word fitly spoken is like an apple of gold.” Each story is an apple of gold because it brings you the highest prize: Jesus Christ. The words are fitly chosen to show you His goodness and His mercy. If you take a story a day, with one to spare, each volume will get you through a month. There will be more to cover a year, but for now, enjoy the three.

Enjoy reading the stories of real people, their struggles, hopes and dreams, and how they found their way to Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. This book brings to life personal dramas with riveting action and suspense. Only God can walk people down the winding paths that bring them to their knees before His glorious throne. I interview those who have made the trip and surrendered to Jesus. Then I write up their stories to inspire people across the world to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. My initial audience, my son Jeff, my daughter Jolie and my granddaughters Brittany, Victoria and Madison, encouraged me to ‘go for it’ and publish my stories. Several of us have had a hand in creating this book: myself, the writer, Jolie, the editor and Jennifer, my friend the producer. We hope your life is changed daily by the Lord Jesus Christ and that these stories help you with that upward change. |
STORIES FROM MY HEART – Vol II
Sometimes people give me a vignette, a quick snapshot of what Jesus did in their lives. Perhaps I have only met them for ten minutes, but I am bowled over by what they have told me on the run. So I add the other essential parts, you know, a beginning, a middle and an end, and I include my creation in the series Stories From My Heart. These are my favorites to write because I rely so heavily on the Holy Spirit to direct their construction. He knows what will touch people’s lives. That is my goal: to touch people’s lives in the cause of Christ. Jesus wants to make His home in every heart and I want to produce a vehicle whereby He can knock on the door and they will open to Him. I know my life has never been the same since I invited Him to live in me and be my Lord. That’s what I want for the reader. |
