Marty Delmon, international radio story teller, author of novels, stage plays and screenplays writes evangelical plots. Jesus wins every time! Her stories are currently heard on 45 radio stations in French and 5 internet radio stations in English and French. Her plays are performed by church groups.

Marty says, “The Lord gave me a vision of a patchwork quilt made of seven colors covering the world. When I asked for the interpretation, He said, ‘Your stories will cover the world in seven languages.’ He’s in the process of making this happen!

“I take people’s testimonies and write stories around them, always changing the names and places. Sometimes I place them in Bible times. I call them ‘Stories of Truth’. They tell how Jesus changes the lives of people right now. Listeners call in after hearing a story, usually in tears, and want to know how they can get this Jesus to help them with their lives like He just helped whatever character they heard on the radio. The radio personnel lead them to the Lord.

“The stations play the stories over and over at different times to hit as many people as possible. To produce one story costs $300. When you sponsor a story by donating $300, I add your name and city to the credits. Like ‘This story was brought to you by Crossroads Community Church, Yuba City, California.’ Millions hear them. Please join me in the harvest for our husbandman, Jesus!”

About the Radio Programs

My Father in heaven said, "I want you to write for Me." So, I picked up a pen. But I dallied, not really applying myself to His call. While Pastoring a church I planted, I attended a large convention and found myself standing in front of the platform waiting for a word from the Lord.

"Write!" He rumbled -- the voice He uses when I dawdle. Standing with hundreds, responding to the altar call for "Ministers who feel like square pegs in a round hole," I suddenly knew what to do: Lead people to Christ by writing short stories and putting them on the radio. Quitting the Pastorate, I began.

A small radio station taught me everything. On my first day of recording they asked what I was called. Without thinking about it I blurted out, "Writer In The Sky". The station manager said, "Great! You'll be known as WITS!" I had to laugh because my parents convinced me I was too dumb to write and now the Holy Spirit was playfully calling me Wits! That station was a Godsend. When I ran out of money they put my stories on for free because, "They reach the lost and the lost don't know to support the spreading of the Gospel."

Today, writing, recording and producing evangelistic stories is the thrust of my ministry. In five French speaking countries, 28 stations broadcast the 96 stories (so far). I send them one 15 minute program a week in which my stories are told by professionals, backed by improvisational music and studio sound effects. But when I polled the stations I found they broadcast them multiple times a week at prime time! Why? Because the lost are calling wanting this Jesus to help them with their problems like He just helped the character on the story they heard.

These programs are also in "American." I recommend churches purchase local radio time and use the stories as invitations. It costs about $25 a week for a 15 minute slot. Each CD contains four programs. At the station the Pastor records, or has the station record, a 30 second trailer announcing what church has sponsored the story and give the address and the service times. Try it. Radio produces results.

In British, Great Britain hears them. A retired English actress bought one of my books. She called, "Dahling! I must record your stories!" Paying for the production herself, she has recorded 24 of them and broadcast them on UCB.

Recently, the Lord gave me a sterling idea! It costs $250 to produce one story. That takes it from translation, recording, music, sound effects, duplication, label and jewel case art to mailing them to the stations. If 244 churches, or individuals, or corporations pay for one story a year, we can reach the world in five languages. Whoever sponsors a story with $250, their name, city and state is written into the credits and whenever that master CD is copied, wherever it is broadcast, the listeners will know who cared enough for the lost to send the Gospel.

I printed the stories in three volumes called "An Apple of Gold a Day." 32 are subtitled, "True Life Testimonies." 32 are subtitled "Stories From My Heart." 32 are subtitled "On the Footprints of Jesus." One story a day with one apple left over, makes these books a daily inspiration, plus selling them pays for more stories.

The Lord also asked me to write a novel about my experiences being married to a homosexual. I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t want people stirring in the ashes of my life with their sticks. But now I’m glad I did. People tell me the book, "Sleeping with Demons", has changed their lives.

I’ve just finished another novel, "Buried Lies," about overcoming the trauma of incest. Tate Publishing has honored me by also publishing that book.

The proceeds from these writings will go toward paying for more stories to be broadcast to the ends of the earth until Jesus comes. The production is costly, but the programs are ambassadors for Christ. To God be the glory and to Him goes the praise!

TESTIMONY FROM A RADIO LISTENER

When I first started these stories in French, I offered to do it the American way: put my name and address on the end of the program so people could contact me. The stations responded that was just too American for them. In France the listeners call the station; the staff leads them to the Lord and tries to place them in a church.

Of the results the stations pass along to me, my favorite testimony comes from “The Good Samaritan”. In that story a certain gentleman used the techniques of Lillian B. Yeomans to be healed of cancer. One of the listeners, also a victim of cancer, called the station excitedly wanting to do what the character did in the story. First they led the listener to the Lord, and then they replayed the program so they could all take notes on the technique.

Dr. Yeomans had her patients speak to the cancer over and over, thousands of times, until their lips chapped and their throats dried up. Her patients said, “According to Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. According to Deuteronomy 28:61 cancer is a curse of the law. Therefore I am redeemed from cancer.” The listener put this technique to work. After another trip to the doctor the listener called the station and reported a clean bill of health. No cancer whatsoever!
