The devil seems to have us on the run. He comes along with his slippery little lies, lies that slap God right in the face, and we laugh at the devil, but in the depths of the night we lie awake and wonder. He just might be right, you know. Money is hard to come by. You never know; you just might get cancer. I probably did marry the wrong person. And on and on it goes. One lie after another. The longer someone meditates on a lie, the more entrenched it becomes in the soul, and suddenly, someone is taking matters into his or her own hands, trying to solve a problem that never existed in the first place.

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; (Psalms 138:8a).
