Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth (Luke 18:8)?
Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7).
What does that mean, “obedient to the faith”? Priests would have to obey the dictates of the church or synagogue they serve, but what dictates does faith have? It’s a simple matter of trust, isn’t it? Well, not completely, you see it is a New Testament Law. The old law may have been finished, but it didn’t die. Jesus came to fulfill the law, which indicates to me that faith is an actualization of that fulfillment.
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith (Romans 3:27).
Remember, when you operate in faith you are operating in one of the Laws of the Lord. Are there other Laws in the New Testament? Oh yes. Look for them as you read your Bible.
