Naked Faith #5 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account, (Hebrews 4:13).
Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth, (Luke 18:8)? Faith doesn’t have to be a great big thing that we huff and puff with all day long. Faith doesn’t require such due diligence that we never get anything else done. It can be quite small as long as it is consistent. Roller-coastering around with a lack of faith, unbelief, doubt, and mental reasoning is what knocks Faith sideways and keeps us from having what God would love to give—if only we’d stay steadfast in our Faith! 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?" 20 So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you (Matthew 17:19, 20). Naked Faith #4And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account, (Hebrews 4:13).
Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth, (Luke 18:8)? I don’t know about you, but my stalwart mind likes to ALWAYS be in control. It likes to explain away everything. If my mind doesn’t have an answer for a problem, it will make something up, just to keep the upper hand! But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, "O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread,” (Matthew 16:8)? Obviously the disciples were guilty of the same thing—reasoning out something they had no answer for. Jesus was talking about being soiled by the yeast, the boiling false teaching of religious leaders, and the disciples interpreted that as if Jesus were talking about actual bread. Reasoning indicates a level of little faith. How’s your reasoning level? Naked Faith #3And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account, (Hebrews 4:13).
Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth, (Luke 18:8)? There are all kinds of levels of faith. We advance from faith to faith at our own speed, which may be why I’ve never found two people with the same level of faith. It’s kind of like revelation. God’s Word has a million layers of revelation, I’m convinced. That’s about the same with faith. It’s given to us like a little green shoot coming up out of the earth, and it’s up to us to make it grow—or not. And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt, (Mathew 14:31)? This, of course, is the recounting of Peter walking on the water until his attention focused on the wind and the waves, and he started to sink. Doubt indicates a level of little faith. How’s your doubt level? |
