And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account (Hebrews 4:13). Remember those talks we had in school about how if we saved 10% of everything we made from the age of five on, by the time we retired we would be millionaires? Those talks didn’t take into consideration the stock market flops we’re experiencing in this age. All those dimes and nickels have gone down the drain! But those talks were right, because we had to worry about our future. Who was going to take care of us in our old age? Oh, how glad I am that I am a Christian! Thank God He had mercy on me and introduced me to Jesus Christ, His Son! Somebody was going to be my Lord. Would it be me? Would it be Satan? Would it be public opinion? Thank God He gave me the faith to choose Jesus as my Lord! With Him not only is my future secure, my eternity is secure!
So what does God see when He looks at our finances? Does He see our panic? Does He see our manipulation? Does He see any greed? Does He see any hoarding? Does He see fear, or a troubled soul about what tomorrow will bring? Or does He see our full confidence in Him that He will take care of us, yes, even into Old Age! And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). That’s what we can count on because we belong to Him!
