And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account (Hebrews 4:13). The devil seems to have us on the run. He comes along with his slippery little lies, lies that slap God right in the face, and we laugh at the devil, but in the depths of the night we lie awake and wonder. He just might be right, you know. Money is hard to come by. You never know; you just might get cancer. I probably did marry the wrong person. And on and on it goes. One lie after another. The longer someone meditates on a lie, the more entrenched it becomes in the soul, and suddenly, someone is taking matters into his or her own hands, trying to solve a problem that never existed in the first place. But if we will take simple little passages of Scripture and meditate on those, then we will find ourselves relying on the only powerful one, our Father God, to solve every problem for us. And we will sleep the sleep of the beloved! Passages like these:
And my God shall supply all your (my) need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus(Philippians 4:19). And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; (Psalms 138:8a).
