Love 7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love, does not know God for God is love (1 John 4:7, 8).
Let this sink into your heart: God is love. That means He is made out of love, of course not of flesh and blood, that’s our domain. 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another (John 13:34, 35). …You shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord (Leviticus 19:18c). People have asked me what I am expecting to find in Heaven that can’t be found on earth? Wouldn’t it be better if God simply eliminated death?

Joy Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever, Amen (Jude 24).
For the most part it is the arms of the Holy Spirit who keeps us from all harm and stands us back on our feet again. Angels watch over us so we don’t even stub our toes. But in the crisis, it’s the Spirit of God who presents us faultless before God our Father. For God, we are His joy. He is like any proud papa who cheers on His daughter or son when they take their first attempt to ride a two-wheel bike without training wheels. I look at it this way: God my Father gave me the bicycle. The Holy Spirit taught me how to ride first with training-wheels and then without. Jesus takes off the training wheels, and all three of them jump up and down, shouting their joy as I stream by! God’s Word is God Himself A Foundation Stone
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). One thing students of the Bible seem to fail to understand is that the “Word of God” is God Himself. Notice the above Scripture. It seems to me it makes my point rather well—“and the Word was God.” Whenever we pick up our Bibles to read, we are handling God. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God (Revelations 19:13). This verse explains who Jesus is. He is one third of the Godhead, He came out of God as His Son, and He is called the very thing that God is called—“His name is called The Word of God.” |
