Naked #2

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight; but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do (Hebrews 4:13).

This is from Dake’s Bible, and he gives this explanation:  Every thought, desire, and intent of every creature of God are constantly under His eyes. He lays open the inner-most recesses of the soul, feelings, passions, desires, appetites , thoughts of the mind, and intents of the inner-most being.

Oops! I don’t want to be a part of that event where everyone walks around with all the above hanging out so all the party-goers can see what’s really going on inside! I don’t want my cunning, vengeful, disproving thoughts and designs known by everyone else, nor my insecurities, fears and traumas exposed. Someday, however, I will have to answer for all that. I will have to stand in front of God and confess all the vile things I tried to hide under my mask.

Except for Jesus. That Guy came to earth and paid for everything. In one day on the cross He washed me clean and defeated the devil on my part. I don’t have to confess anything at the judgment hour because the Son of the One on the throne took my place. He took yours, too, if you’ll accept His work. You have to face up to it someday. If He washes you in His blood now, you are innocent before God, but if you wait for the Judgment of the Great White Throne, you’ll be judged by your works, and believe me, all that garbage inside you is counted as works. Every idle word. Give it to Him now. It’s so much easier.

Father God, I present myself before Your throne right now. I’ve come to thank You for sending Jesus in my place. I’ve come to accept Him as my Lord. I’ve come to love You and serve You. I surrender to You, my wonderful, heavenly Father. Please forgive me for the mess I’ve made of my world and Yours. I repent. From now on I am Yours and You are mine!
