And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account (Hebrews 4:13). From an English grammar point of view, God is the subject of the Bible, we are the object, and the verb that completes the sentence is “to give.” God gave. . . . Consider what giving does: it brings people to Christ. It takes greed out of our hearts. Giving is a blessing. Giving brings a blessing. He who has a generous eye will be blessed, for he gives of his bread to the poor
(Proverbs 22 :9). Because we are new creations, we all have a generous eye. We are givers. When God gave us a new spirit, He gave us generosity. We are no longer selfish. We simply have to renew our minds and start being who we really are. Have an abundance mentality. We have more than enough—so give. Manage wisely, live below our means, and give. Modeling generosity will change the world, first our own world, then to the extremities of the earth. Does God see His model child in us?
