Naked Faith #4And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account, (Hebrews 4:13).
Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth, (Luke 18:8)? I don’t know about you, but my stalwart mind likes to ALWAYS be in control. It likes to explain away everything. If my mind doesn’t have an answer for a problem, it will make something up, just to keep the upper hand! But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, "O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread,” (Matthew 16:8)? Obviously the disciples were guilty of the same thing—reasoning out something they had no answer for. Jesus was talking about being soiled by the yeast, the boiling false teaching of religious leaders, and the disciples interpreted that as if Jesus were talking about actual bread. Reasoning indicates a level of little faith. How’s your reasoning level?
