The goal of this book is to capture the intimacy I have with Jesus and convey it to you, simply to encourage you in your own intimacy with Him. You see, God created us to have a very close, family-type relationship. Of course, His family is far superior to any earthly family. His family actually does love one another with unconditional love. Jesus, as the closest, best friend one could ever imagine having, helps each one of us with every aspect of our lives. Our aim is perfection, or as Christians say, sanctification. We want to be just like Jesus. Truthfully, how many of us are perfect? I’d say none. The way God has designed things, the only way to reach perfection is to become one with our Lord. Sanctified is a life-long pursuit, and more and more intimacy with Jesus is the road to that goal. We can never learn enough, we can never do enough, to be like Jesus. Only being with Him brings us further down the road to sanctification. The only way to be with Him is to be His intimate companion. Please read these stories from my life about my intimate friendship with Jesus. May you know Him more! May your love match His love!

Perhaps you have been better molded out of dust than I, and therefore know yourself better than I have known myself. But I doubt that. I believe all humanity has a tough time answering the question, “Who Am I?” I am seventy-five years old, and there are parts of me I still don’t know. However, by this time in life I have found many answers. For instance, I know my destiny and have eliminated most things that interfere with that. I see the wisdom of why I was born in this family and in this time period, etc., and I want to share with you what I’ve learned. Do you mind? Can you take a little wisdom from an old lady? The Bible talks about mysteries and secrets. There are many things God knows that we don’t. Many things we won’t know ’till we get to heaven, as here we see life through a clouded mirror, unclearly. But the Lord loves to reveal mysteries and secrets to His family. Let me share with you, my brothers and sisters, what I have learned regarding our identity and respond to that burning question, “Why does God say we are ‘VERY GOOD?”
